31st Jan 2007, Penang ~ Allysa (or better known as "lil monkey") is celebrating her 3rd b'day today. Since the night before, she was restless and excited over this. The grandparents had ordered her b'day cake (strawberry yogurt cheese cake) and went to collect it today. Since then, she has kept on requesting to see her cake, light up the candles and eat the cake...hahaha...such an impatient lil monkey she is. Anyway, finally after dinner, the occasion was short but was well enjoyed by those present (ah mah, ah kong, khor poh, mummy, kak jum, kak rini). Here's a compilation pix of the event. =)

Unfortunate Incident
Didn't have time to post this yesterday so anyway, here goes...
Yesterday early morning, was on my way to the hospital with the twins for our follow-up check ups. Almost there, an accident occured right in front of the hospital (and also one car in front of ours). A sudden impact between a Myvi (driven by a female) and a motorcycle (ridden by a malay guy). The thing was, the traffic was going rather slow, but the accident happened so fast and sudden, (i'm not sure about the exact details) the motorcycle and the rider were both flung from the right side of the road to the left as if being hit very strongly and impactful. (real life situation here...) His helmet actually flew out and across of the road too.
Luckily, the car that followed behind stopped in time and so the motorcyclist was saved *phew* but he was in a dazed (dunno any bruises or scratches though) The funny thing about this incident was, the female driver of the Myvi having witnessed such an event just stopped her car in the middle of the road (there was space she could've just stopped at the side) and was frantically checking her car and making phone calls for help. The guy in front of her...in a white Volvo, came down just to ask how the motorcyclist was, and just sped of...(thinking it was none of his business and no serious injuries to the poor guy)
This had caused a slight conjestion to the traffic on an almost busy Thursday morning...Anyway, a few came down from their vehicles to help the poor guy. Hope and pray that he's alright. (but very unfortunate to what has happened to his motorcycle)
So ppl on the road, drive safely and cautiously...

The Twins Are Here!~
The twins are finally here!!~~
On 16th Jan 2007 morning, Alice Gan Jia Xian (9.28am) & Ashley Gan Jia Hui (9.29am) has finally came into this world.
The experience this time was a bit more "complicated" , but also with a bit of surprise. Here's how it went...
Was admitted to Island Hospital Penang at 7:30am. Was sent to my room and was attended by the nurses to do all the necessary preparations for the operation. At first it seems like everything was going to be the same as the previous operation I've had, when suddenly the nurses asked us whether the father would like to witness the birth of the twins...this was rather surprising as we weren't usually allowed to during operation procedures. But anyway, he did went in eventually...(once in a life time opportunity you know...)
The operation went well at first. The first twin was pulled out leg first (breeched). When it came to the second twin, I thought it would also be the same, but instead, the doctor mentioned that the head had turned (probably when the first twin was being pulled), so the second twin came head out...Once the twins were out, daddy was snapping away pix of the twins with his camera phone. It was really an exciting experience for him as it is his first and last time to witness such an emotional event...hahahah...
After the operation, of course there is this waiting period to see whether my condition would stabilize or not. This did scare me at first cos I had to lie there helplessly. It turns out that the contraction of my uterus took a bit longer than usual, so was continuously bleeding non-stop. If it took a bit more longer to contract, I would have been in a bit of a life threatening situation (so it seemed) But anyway...the doctors and nurses there were quick to act and had put things under control. *phew* but the pain that had to be endured was really unbearable and undescribable (so guys...be nice and kind to females)
The time of recovery was rather fast this time. Probably because they sort of "forced" it onto the patients...hehehe...1st day operation, 2nd day was already forced to get out of bed and move, by the 3rd day had to stand and walk on my own dee. (really express recovery) Previously i can hardly sit up on the 2nd day, not to mention walking. But anyway, it did help a lot on the recovery, as it gave me more time to adapt to being independant. By the 4th day, the twins and I finally came back home and are adapting well.
Sidetrack a bit, the poor lil monkey had caught some virus during the same time and is now under quarantine in the hospital. Poor thing must miss home and is so wanting to play with her new twin sisters. But have to be safe then sorry. She'll have to recover as soon as she can before she can start coming near them. *sigh* oh well...
Will post the pix up once everythings settled. *still under confinement ~ 1 solid mth!! til CNY lohhhhh~* stay tuned...

The Rain Really Came
hahaha...I'm not a big time fan of "Rain"...but thank god the rain has finally come. Although the news of potential floods and disasters may sound alarming, but with a little bit of rain, it should be a life saver for some of us who are suffering from the heat these past few months. It would also be less miserable in my case to have a bit of rain and cool weather once I've given birth.
Just thinking about the whole 30 days confinement thingy makes me miserable. No washing / normal baths, no fan / wind...*aih* not to mentioned being confined in bed, lying down all the time... sounds miserable enough ain't it ? But that's for the best if want to fully recover from all these.
Anyway, just enjoying this cool weather while I still can. Recently also developed some rashes / itchiness. (supposingly common amongst 1st / multiple pregnancies) oh well...hope I can still keep my sanity.
God help me!!~~ 9 more days...

Oh~ Heavy Me!
Well, 8~9 mths of pregnancy sure felt quick...but these last final days sure is a killer. I can't wait til it's finally over...*phew* getting heavier and difficult to move dee. Not to mentioned lying down, and trying to get up. =P
For the record, I am at 66.5kg right now. (inclusive of the twins, some fat, fluids in the body, my own weight, etc...) I wonder how am I going to achieve slimming down to 48kg? hmm...ok lah, maybe aim to achieve 52kg first (original weight), then only aim for 48kg or lesser...*pray pray pray*
I seem to have also developed writer's block...can't seem to think of anything to write (been idling for 30 mins before writing this sentence...hahaha)
Anyway, was suppose to post up some stuffs bout my dad's b'day, but was not able to transfer the pix. Well, have to postphone that project for now...hahaah...belated post. ;)
I'll also probably have to post up regarding the twins arrival a little bit later too. Have to make sure I fully recover first. The problem is probably I might have my hands full by then...=P hahaha...I wish and hope that the twins will have a synchronize timing, like sleeping & feeding and stuff...If it happens to be one at a time, that's gonna be one heck of a prob...kakakak...*touch wood* praying and reciting more Amitabha to that...
Oh well, 11 days and counting...wish me luck !!~~

Deep Cut
Very unexpected and terrible thing happened to the lil monkey today. While happily playing at the playground in the evening, she accidentally cut her right lil toe without noticing nor complaining of any pain. Until when everybody noticed blood coming out, then only realized and felt quite panic about it.
Well, accidents happened. But luckily with some basic first aid knowledge was still able to stop the bleeding. What would happened if she was left alone with the maid and my parents here...everyone was panicking and didn't know what to do at all...*sigh*
Anyway, after some washing and stopped the bleeding, took her to the nearby clinic to disinfect and covered the wound. It was 5mm deep according to the doc. Would have needed a stitch or two if it starts bleeding again by the next day. *hope and pray she doesnt' need one*
Lesson #1: always wear protected wear outdoors no matter where you are, what you're doing, etc ...especially little kids.
Lesson #2: always have enough stuffs in your first aid kits. got to HAVE a first aid kit in the house first though...
Lesson #3: DON'T PANIC!!~~ well, easily said than done, but this is the most essential skill to have while facing an emergency like this...nobody even thought about stopping the bleeding in the first place becos they were all busy panicking when she started crying...*gosh* oh and they only noticed how much blood she was losing...*duh* stop lah the bleeding since you know she HAS lost so much dee...*pengsan*
The worst thing was, becos I'm pregnant, I have to be even more calm and patient during this type of emergency. hahaha...IF I also panic, I could've sworn I would have to give birth right there and then...*touch wood* Anyway, I'm just glad that she's OK and back to her normal active "monkey" self (always have)...and to teach her a lesson how to be extra careful next time.

The Year That Will Be (2007)
Part of this will be wishes, resolutions, dreams, future plans & other stuffs. Now, let's see...
Expecting ~
the twins expected delivery is within the next 2 weeks (if everything goes well) *sigh* feel like I'm having butterflies in my stomach...hahahah...it's not the first time I'm giving birth through caesarian, but it is a fact that it's the first twin delivery through caesarian...hahaha...
All these will be over very soon, and I hope to concentrate on getting back on track after this delivery. Oh yea, and really do some planning on "prevention"...kakaka... It's going to take time, needing extra effort and patience, but after few years and looking back at these, it'll probably be worth the hard work and endurance. Although, financially, emotionally, and physically taking it's toll, but it's just something needed to be taken care of and a process that needs to be gone through sooner or later. (just so happens it happened earlier than expected)
Things To Do ~
- Become good and better parent (obviously) hahaha...supermom in the making?
- Be more loving, caring, understanding, patient, less demanding, cut down on negative thoughts, not to be easily influenced, take things more seriously, more determined, strong willed....(endless list) but will try to achieve one thing at a time if possible. after all, it is all inter-related. =P
- Be independant and motivated (career wise ~ self employed / working from home) this might require more discipline and effort to put things together, the juggling of freelance work and as a full time housewife. Well, I'm quite confident on the housework part, but...*ahem* (will see how things goes, eventually)
Things To Wish For ~
hahaha....this one I'm not holding back...
- New stuffs (lots and lots of it) hahha....I've not gone shopping for new stuffs for long long time. Need to get my glasses changed, new clothing that actually fits, new shoes..er..i've always only had one casual pair to wear...already worn out by now
- Sponsorships *muahahahah* no complaints here....=P I always welcome them in open arms. It's totally not for me though...they're of course for the little ones, they need it the most..
